About Us: Chapters: High Sierra Chapter

High Sierra chapter has over 50 members, including 7 pilots and more than 10 physicians, optometrists, and dentists. Based in Truckee, California, and Reno, Nevada, High Sierra chapter runs 5 to 10 trips per year, mostly in volunteer-piloted small aircraft, to northern Mexico and the Coachella Valley of southern California (our Oasis program), depending on pilot and doctor availability.

Chapter Meetings
High Sierra chapter meets on the first Wednesday of each month in locations alternating between Truckee, California, and Reno, Nevada. Truckee meetings (November '06 and January '07, for example) are at the Truckee Airport, Terminal Building, with a potluck at 6:30 PM and the meeting beginning at 7:00 PM. Reno meetings vary in location and time; contact Elizabeth Collins for more information.
