El Salvador 2019

July 29th-August 2nd

Every year in the July/August time frame, LMV International runs a medical/dental clinic in one of the small towns or villages in Central America or South America. I am in the process of organizing this years’ trip, and the following is an overview of what can be expected. If you join our trip, then you will get a more detailed itinerary as I get arrangements finalized and we get closer to our departure date. But the following is what you can expect.

You will need to make your arrangements to arrive at San Salvador airport (SAL) on Saturday the 27th day of July. Ground transportation will be arranged for you from the airport to the hotel in San Salvador where you will stay overnight at the Courtyard Marriot.

On Sunday morning we will board a bus that will take us to Santa Ana where we will be staying each night at the hotel Tolteka Plaza. Upon our arrival at the hotel you will have plenty of time to relax and get settled into your rooms and we will have everyone together for dinner so that we can all meet each other and get acquainted. At this meeting you will be given your job assignments and introduced to your fellow team members.

 On Monday morning we will board a bus to the clinic. The clinic this year will be held in a small rural    village on the outskirts of Santa Ana. We will be holding the clinic in the local school where the teachers and school employees will be helping us with the logistics of running the clinic. The school presently has 800+ students and we will be seeing as many of those children and their family members as possible throughout the week. We can expect to see 1,500-2,000 people at the clinic this year.

Each night we will be returning to our hotel in Santa Ana  where dinner will be provided either at the hotel or at one of the many local resteraunts.

On Friday, August 2nd we will have a dinner with all the volunteers from the clinic and say good bye to your new friends in Central America.

Saturday, August 3rd, we will board a bus and head back to San Salvador, where we will have one last dinner with everyone where you can give me your feedback on the trip and provide any insight or suggestions on how to improve the clinic or the experience.

The cost of this year’s trip is $1,250.00 per person, which includes the following;

  • All ground transportation to and from the airport as well as all transportation throughout the week of the clinic.
  • All meals on working days of the clinic and meet and greet meetings. Alcohol is available, but NOT included in the cost of your meals. (You are responsible for the cost of any alcoholic beverages that you order.)
  • All room and board in San Salvador on Saturday the 27th of July and August 3rd. We will also cover the cost of your rooms for the week of the clinic in Santa Ana.

You should plan on leaving sometime on Sunday August 4th.

I will do my best to accommodate any special diets but cannot promise you that I will be able to do so for every meal.

Again, arrive at San Salvador airport (SAL) on July 27th and leave the same airport on Sunday August 4th.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at [email protected].

I look forward to working with you.
