We team up with local organizations to run free health clinics in Fresno, Riverside and Oasis/Thermal California. These health clinics take place in community centers or high schools and provide a host of services including (as possible) Dental Care – … more…

Local Radio stations often come and do a live broadcast and play music to keep people’s spirits up while they wait in the long lines going from station to station.
Our patients often camp out overnight in order to get a place in line for the clinics.
None of these clinics would not be possible without the generous support of

Los Médicos Voladores(LMV), The Flying Doctors, is a registered 501(c)(3) Medical Mission Non-Governmental Organization(NGO) based in California, USA. LMV provides mobile medical & dental clinics in California, Mexico, Haiti, El Salvador / Latin America, or other areas requesting assistance.
LMV offers short-term assignments for volunteer medical professionals, healthcare support professionals, dental professionals, students, pilots, Spanish language translators and non-medical volunteers to conduct free medical and dental clinics that provide health care and education in areas where it is limited or difficult to obtain.
• LMV makes all arrangements for our volunteers upon arrival to our international destination, including transportation, lodging/meals, government permits, and clinic logistics.
• We secure equipment, supplies, and medicines through partnerships with health and development organizations.
• We provide our services without compensation or discrimination of race, religion, creed, or political affiliation.
During the LMV clinics, we partner with local medical and dental professionals to provide care, and share knowledge about diagnoses and treatment. We also provide community health education so that local people are encouraged to meet their health care needs based on knowledge and education.
OUR MISSION:
Building and Strengthening Underserved Communities through Healthcare, Education and Volunteerism
OUR VISION:
To provide compassionate, professional services to those in need while giving our volunteers the ability to “give back” to the same.

San José de Batuc Once again received free dental care that our communities of San Jose de Batuc and Nuevo Tepupa had not received since their previous visit in 2019. An extraordinary job these two days, April 29 and 30, leave Batuquenses with infinite gratitude because they worked for comply with all the patients mentioned. San José de Batuc recognizes them as VISITORS OF HONOR for their hard humanitarian work for always being our little town of their favorite places to provide us with dental care.
To the entire team of Flying doctor volunteers and those who supported this to be a great success.
Thank you very much
Happy journey
and return to
Saint Joseph of Batuc.
Well here’s a case of a 12 year old girl with a badly decayed front tooth. Her pain was so bad she did her own root canal—with a staple! She then closed the access hole with a toothpick. Dr. Michael Britting and Dr Ezekiel removed the staples, completed an apico (an upside-down root canal), and gave her a shiny new composite crown. Nice work guys.
There were some really unforgettable moments, like our party on Saturday in Guaymas or when we found a Jeep that got stuck in the ocean and when a truck came to help it, the truck also got stuck in the ocean. Plus, we created inside jokes that are still funny…you know? I had so much more fun than I expected on a volunteer mission. Along came Sunday and we were all ready to say goodbye to Mexico and head back home. We might’ve said goodbye for the moment but I’m sure I will go back again soon…
“By nature, I’m not the type to volunteer. But four days in Mexico with LMV had a discernible effect on me. It felt better and more rewarding than a week on the beach in Hawaii. I will definitely return,” Michael Martinez, volunteer
“Of all the organizations and charities I’ve been associated with, LMV definitely is the most rewarding experience,” Tom Hogan, volunteer
“These trips to Mexico have broadened my perspective about the definition of a good lifestyle,” Rob Lober, pilot
“I’d do another LMV trip at the drop of a hat! Having never flown in a private plane before, I was a bit nervous. But the professionalism of our pilot made the entire trip a complete joy,” Dr. Johanna Koch, MD
“When you donate to the LMV cause, the fruits of your labor smile back at you,” Bob Horvath, pilot
“From the second I finish and get home, I start planning the next trip. It’s a real adventure setting up small clinics. You reap rewards of the heart,” Adrian Fenderson, DDS
“The trip was fantastic and the clinic ran beautifully. Our pilot was excellent and we felt very confident flying with him. We can’t wait to go on another LMV trip!”, Jenny Benton & Maira Velasco, dental hygienists

LMV worked with FUDECOM from El Salvador, Flying Docs of Canada (Ben made the slide show) and Heart to Heart International. It was a two week trip with some of us staying just eight days. We served hundreds of patients both medical and dental in three villages in the mountains.
“One of the best trips ever!”
We saw about 750 patients in 4 days of clinic. Monte Short and Christine Meserve put together their “Dream Team” of experienced international medical providers and hooked us all in with a well-run program in Haiti named Heart to Heart International.

Barbara Williams and Colleena McHugh have put together a Medical Assisting Class for Los Médicos Voladores members. There is a lot of very useful information that can make a lay volunteer invaluable on a medical mission, directed by our own Dr. Morgan. We have his notes on requirements for a top notch assistant.
The trainers hope to take this class around to all chapters. So watch your chapter announcements for this class to learn this important position.
